make it special with a gourmet gift basket
Gift baskets are the perfect gift anytime
Gourmet gift baskets - Always fun to receive
A gift basket is great way to say ”You are special.” Because you know the person you are making it for and you can select those perfect little treasures that delight the senses. And what better way to go about it than with a gourmet food basket. But it may turn out to be little harder than you think, because when it comes to food there is no shortage of possibilities
Where to start
You can always turn to the professionals for a basket loaded with a variety of gourmet foods. Some will even let you make selections from a menu of choices. A few that I've always found to be dependable and quality oriented are HarryandDavid.com, DeanandDeluca.com and GourmetGiftBaskets.com. If you want to find your own favorites, there are many more to choose from.
If you have decided to create your own personalized basket, you've probably already visited several stores to find items you would like to include. Of course there is a built in up side to this - you can treat yourself to anything that doesn’t fit into the basket. That’s not a bad thought when cruising around the gourmet aisles thinking how nice it would be if someone would do this for you.
If it's a temptation to you then it's probably just right for this basket. Imagine how it will all look; fresh brewed gourmet Kona coffee, creamy, dreamy Belgian chocolates, exotic fruits and cheeses, along with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon or after dinner brandy and snacks in tins from far away places. All these sensual delights can be make a fine basket arrangement.
To be successful, not everything has to be food, there are many other small items that could be discovered, nestled away amongst the goodies something artistic perhaps. Search out craft stores and artisan's workshops for small handmade treasurers to include.
To make a good presentation visual balance is important. Start your arrangement with the larger, heavier items in the center. Fruits, delicate and unpackaged items should be protected from bruising. Colored tissue paper or shredded paper is a good compliment but don’t obscure with too much paper - the visual effect is important. With a nice arrangement and a little color you've created a soon to be appreciated personalized basket of gourmet foods.
